WORKPLAN
The PULSE Network’s activities have been organized into seven highly integrated Work Packages (WPs)
WP1 - Coordination and Management:
Project management; ethics committee approval; recruitment of young researchers.
Mechanism of Prdx6 induction of insulin secretion in pancreatic cells; effect of Prdx6 on incretin release by colorectal adenocarcinoma cells.
In vivo study on Prdx6-/- mice; assessment of Prdx6 involvement in glucose homeostasis regulation in vivo.
Recruitment of patients with T2DM, COPD, asthma, and healthy controls; collection of clinical data and biological samples.
WP5 - Clinical evaluation of disease and hematic measurement of biomarkers and analytes:
Stratification of patients by disease severity; analytical evaluation of laboratory methods; measurement of blood biomarkers of oxidative stress and inflammation.
WP6 - Elaboration of clinical data:
Statistical analysis of clinical and biochemical data; study of association between biomarkers and clinical phenotypes.
WP7 - Presentation of clinical data in National and International Meeting (Dissemination):
Setting up and updating the project website; presentation of clinical data in National and International Meeting.
